It is interesting how life unfolds and how things come our way. Such as having something on your mind and wandering in a used book store and lo and behold there standing on display is an old book you had thought about reading someday. Or it’s a book that someone recommended and there it is. And so cool that it’s at the used book store, as the price will be great!
Or for instance, awhile back when I went into a store with my daughter and niece, as they were to pick up a few dresses for the bridesmaids of my daughter’s wedding. While my niece was trying on the dress, I looked around a bit. The man in charge impressed me as someone who had a calm quiet demeanor about him. For some reason he made me think of a book called Aspire by Kevin Hall where one of the characters is the proprietor of a store that Kevin Hall stopped by to find the perfect fabric as a gift for his daughter and her upcoming wedding.
I put that thought aside and noticed a table to the side, if I remember, there was a sewing machine and an old looking book caught my eye. I glanced up and saw the man was chatting with, it seemed a friend. So I walked by a little closer but still kept my distance and saw it was a hard cover book about the study of Quantum Physics. Now, I didn’t know anything about Quantum Physics but I had heard of it and had wondered about it and was somewhat delighted to see this man was reading about it, right here in his shop! I mean, I didn’t show it, but for some reason it struck something that made me think, ‘wow’, this man is probably really smart and wise. As I looked up from my thought, our eyes met, and I got the impression he had observed that I noticed the book. I didn’t know what to say, so I just gave a little smile and nod of respect. And that was that, I sure wish I had been able to ask questions, but I really wouldn’t have known what to ask.
Interesting thing, is now in MKMMA we are learning about Universal Laws and all kinds of things that, well, I’m not certain…but, I’m guessing they might be kinda related to Quantum Physics.
The other funny thing is meeting my friend Renee at Toastmasters. We got to be good friends and found we had similar interests in self improvement and she knew a whole lot! She thought it would be a great idea to start a Master Mind. ( I had vaguely heard of that term, when years ago I had started to read a book called Think and Grow Rich. ) She would share some of the things she had learned and we would meet once a month. But with our different schedules and busy lives and her having to travel more for her business, there was going to be quite a few months before we could start the Mastermind again.
Then the greatest thing happened! I heard about MKMMA! Master Key Mastermind Alliance and had a wonderful opportunity for a scholarship . Thank goodness and so grateful to Mark J and Davene for being so kind and giving to others! Coincidence or Connection?
So now, the latest interesting connection, is a couple of my friends in Toastmasters were talking about self improvement cd’s and authors during a break and I thought! Oh wow! There are more people interested in this! I mean I know there are but I hadn’t met many that I knew personally. So my friend shared a few CD’s for us to listen to.
I popped the CD’s in my car and saw that they were about emotional intelligence. And, as I’m listening, what do they mention? The Limbic System! I smile because I remember Mark J speaking about that.
So here we are on week 20 of MKMMA. And we are to read The Master Key Part Twenty. Now on the front page of part twenty , the last two paragraphs say this;
” This indicates the origin of both good and evil; they are simply words which have been coined in order to indicate the nature of the result of the thinking or creative process. Thought necessarily precedes and predetermines action; action precedes and predetermines condition.
Part Twenty will throw more light upon this important subject. ” ( from The Master Key System/ Haanel)
Ok! Now back to listening to friends CD in the car… ( see how this story ties in! )
“A belligerent Samurai, an old Japanese tale goes, once challenged a Zen master to explain the concept of heaven and hell.
The monk replied with scorn, ‘ You’re nothing but a lout! I can’t waste my time with the likes of you!’
His very honor attacked, the Samurai flew into a rage and pulling his sword from it’s scabbard said, ‘ I could kill you for your impertinence! ‘
‘ That’, the monk contritely replied, ‘ is hell.’
Startled at seeing the truth in what the master pointed out about the fury that had him in it’s grip, the Samurai calmed down, sheethed his sword and bowed, thanking the monk for his insight.
‘And that,’ said the monk, ‘ is heaven.’
The sudden awakening of the Samurai to his own adjusted states, illustrates the crucial difference between being caught up in a feeling and becoming aware you are being swept away by it. ” ( from Emotional Intelligence/Daniel Coleman, Ph.D.)
Now here are the last connections I shall share.
At my church there is a great lesson series going on called The Greatest. And I must say, it also ties in well with things we have been learning.
Here are a couple scriptures from this weeks lessons, ” These three remain; faith, hope and love… the greatest of these is LOVE.” 1 Cor 13
“Love is not rude. Love does not demand it’s own way. Love is not irritable , and love keeps no record of when it has been wronged.” 1 Corinthians 13:5 (NLT)
In Master Key 20:23 We are told that “In Him we live and move and have our being,” and we are told that “He” is a Spirit, and again that “He” is Love, so that every time we breathe,we breathe this life, love, and spirit……….(Haanel)
And ending with good ‘ol Og….
“If I have no other qualities I can succeed with love alone. Without it I will fail though I possess all the knowledge and skills of the world. I will greet this day with love in my heart. ~ Og Mandino
Sorry this was long, sure didn’t mean it to be. Thank you for your patience. Sorry it sort of rambles along. It’s hard to express what I’m trying to convey. Just that there seems to be a nice flow of information. Although my post here didn’t seem to flow too well.
Guess one could say, that’s quite an imagination there! Oh well, I think it’s interesting! I’ll leave it up to you. Coincidence or Connection?
God Bless You all !
