Week 18 A Serendipitous Discovery!

Well my movie that I decided to watch arrived in the mail today.  But I worked late and if I watch it, there will be no time to write the blog in time.

At the last webinar we were asked to watch one of two movies .  The movies recommended are ” I Am”  and ” Finding Joe”.    I got the impression to watch one this week and write a blog about it next week.  So hope that is correct.

The webinar did raise my anticipation of these movies though.  So I checked out YouTube to get an idea of what these movies were about.  Ended up ordering “Finding Joe”  Through Amazon and that is the movie that arrived today.

My son has HULU though and there was “I Am” there!  I thought it would be great to watch it with my son and husband, but that ended up being a bit distracting.  Um…let us say…they are not of the Mastermind Alliance minded. 🙂  They chatted during it and sometimes they listened to parts of it.  Oh, they had a great time being regular weisenheimers!( Those familiar with Jackie Gleason may remember that word. 🙂 )   So!  I figured, I’d just have to watch it another time.  Hadn’t had the chance yet though.

One neat discovery though, was that during the search for “I Am” on You Tube, I found a wonderful movie that really represents alot of things we are learning.  The movie is delightful and really a must see, it is “I Am Kalam”  http://youtu.be/ieOfXPzRfTk    Definitely a Hero’s Journey.

The main character is Chhotu, a very bright, kind and giving young man.  The other characters are wonderful too!   I don’t want to give away the whole story so I hope you will take the time to watch the full movie on You Tube!  Free!

In India there are many castes and a person’s standing in life would seem to be their destiny, that they are to accept.

At the opening of the movie is a wonderful quote, “Great dreams of great dreamers are always transcendent.”  Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam

The vibrant colors and beautiful heartfelt story is a joy to be seen by the whole family.   So many different people, each a very integral part of the story.

In one part Chhotu, sees a news clip about President Kalam.  And in it, the broadcaster says, Kalam believes that destiny can be changed through action.  He says success depends on four things.  First, a clear aim in life.  Second a good education.  Third, hard work and Fourth, perseverance.   Now you decide whether you will have faith in destiny or your actions.

This leaves a big impression on Chhotu, so much so, that later, when he is asked his name he says it is Kalam! 🙂   And he truly believes in his heart, that , ” There is nothing called destiny.  Everything can be changed by our actions.”

I absolutely loved this movie!

There are some parts of part eighteen of Master Keys that came to mind.

18:4  A new civilization is being born, customs, creeds, and precedent are passing; vision, faith and service are taking their place.  The fetters of tradition are being melted off from humanity, and as the impurities of materialism are being consumed, thought is being liberated and truth is rising full robed before an astonished multitude.

18:24  In order to grow we must obtain what is essential for our growth, but as we are at all times a complete thought entity, this completeness makes it possible for us to receive only as we give; growth is therefore conditioned on reciprocal action, and we find that on the mental plane like attracts like, that mental vibrations respond only to the extent of their vibratory harmony.

18:25……………………….he who has his heart in his work is certain to meet with unbounded success.  He will give and continually give; and the more he gives, the more he will recieve.

In Blueprint Builder

First. I know that I have the ability to achieve the object of my Definate Purpose in life, therefore, I DEMAND of myself persistent, continous action toward its attainment, and I here and now promise to render such action.

I will not tell you the end of this story.  Let us just say, Kalam ( young Chhotu) definately lives his life with the question we have been asking of ourselves, which is, “What would the person I intend to become do next? ”

You will be inspired watching this movie!  You may even feel like jumping up and smiling and saying, ” I Am Kalam! “
